Wow! I'm a sweet/complex whiskey fan. I don't love heavy peat smoke. I like lots of well-balanced character. I want to taste lots of different flavors that are blended nicely together. And, I'm getting to the point where I long to try something new and surprising. For me, this bottle scratched me right where I itched. I can't recall another bottle I've had where *mint* was such a predominant flavor. This one has a lot of sweet notes to go with the mint: caramel, chocolate and a smooth creaminess. And while I know I just described a more appetizing hot fudge sundae than a whiskey, you'd be surprised just how well it worked. Instead of being just sweet, these flavors blended well with a beautifully mellowed lightly smoked whiskey to deliver a truly different flavor than you're used to and one that Speyside-drinkers will likely find to be a new favorite.
